Two months after my appeal hearing I was denied once again. Does anyone know how many more times you can appeal? I have an attorney but haven't talked to him yet as I just got the denial yesterday. I was denied last year and I appealed it. Was denied again. Retained an attorney and denied again. He said the judge we got denies everyone who comes into her court. I am not a vindictive person, but I hope someday she doesn't aquire this disorder. If you know what I mean??? I am under the impression that I get one more chance. Any answers from someone who has been through this? Thanks in advance.

I was denied SSI also on the first try but I appealed it and won the second time around.(with an attorney)
I have FM,mild Scoliosis, herniated disks in lower back/sciatica,Endometriosis and supposedly early RA.(never confirmed RA.....some specialist thinks it may be,so I'm being observed...sorta like a guinea pig)I would recommend a legal aid rep,Thats the route I took since I had very little income.Good luck to you~

It took me three trys and two years but had alot of good help from DRs and my Atty. Also it is very important to use every thing to your advantage if you have any other problems that should also be on the report to SS I have a severe hearing loss so that also helped me my Atty. told me the key is how well your DR, writes your report. Good luck and hope you get help keep trying do not give in to them as they certianly like to play games.

for the info. I do have other things wrong with me but they are minor. Tendinitus in my ankle and elbow. And I don't over use either one and my dr is baffled as to how I got it. Also, in the denial report for the judge she stated that she could'nt condsider my Dr recommendation of not being able to work, as he isn't a rheumotologist. My dr said he'd be happy to refer me back to the rheum. if thats what it takes. I guess I will wait for my lawyer to get ahold of me. He has really been great in all of this. Also, my lawyer said I have one thing that is going against me and that is I have my husbands income supporting me now. Well, his hours were cut recently and his job could be no more at the end of the year (thanks to 9/11). So, I really need it now. Again, Thanks

Azcrum, Please make sure the attorney is familiar with ADA regulations and medical protocol, because the more info you know the more they back off.Have your doctor word everthing really specific.I know I don't know your case but maybe it will help.God Bless

before you get approved for SSI you must have an axe sticking out of your head. My lawyer also confirmed this. I think AZ is one of the bad states, not just SSI but everything else too. It is so behind in the times. I am not giving up because I will fight to the end if I truly beleive in something.

He is strictly a ssi lawyer. I think he is pretty sharp and will get me what I want. He was referred to me by someone who won her case with him.
