Staunton VA - Need a Doctor! Why are they so afraid of narcotics?

The clinic I have been using is closing down run by Augusta Health and I have to find a new doctor. I have used the Rhum clinic in Fishersville and I will not use them again. I am currently on Tramadol, meloxicam and cyclobenzaprine for sleep. If anyone can suggest a doctor in the Lexington, Staunton, Harrisonburg or Waynesboro area please let me know.

    I also had a question -
I have tried many other things and found that my current medications are doing the best for me. Some of the doctors I have spoken with want to go a "narcotic free" route. I am sorry but who gives a crap if someone is addicted to a medication if they really need it? I would rather be addicted and able to live a somewhat normal life than to take other medications and continue with pain. Why are the doctors so afraid to perscribe pain killers to someone that needs them??? It is stupid!

I'm sorry you are losing your clinic. If you post this on the FMS/CFIDS board, you may get more responses. Good luck.
