Has anyone had steriod injections into soft tissue? Has it helped you, and how often have you had them?

Yes I had a cortisone injection into my suboccipital muscles when the pain in my neck did not respond to any opiates. The pain was so bad I could hardly see or hear and my neck was stiffening. The injections reduced the pain sufficiently. The pain rose to this level because I stupidly overworked and caused much strain in my neck. Never did that again.

I receive injections in my lower back. They do help some but the pain is always there. I have to have them at least 3 in a row every 3 months. I suggest if you try this, get the sedation and have someone drive you.
