I work third shift so my day starts officially at about 6 p.m. My "morning stiffness" lasts until almost midnight. It even hurts to stretch.

Just wondering how long yours lasts and what you do about it.

    TX all!

Mine last till mid after my morning nap I will feel a little better. Take my meds and say a prayer:) Some times a hot shower helps.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I am so stiff even before I move in bed when I wake, I dread the fact that I have to move because it will hurt so bad.

I force myself to stretch. It helps because I feel like my muscles are a tight rubberband and they need to be stretched out.

Also, if I just sit with my morning coffee and watch the news or check the computer, it does mme no good. I need to keep moving a bit to get the stiffness out.

Sometimes Advil helps (believe it or not) with the stiffness (not the pain--we know the difference, but others, including docs, do not). But I don't take it all the time, just when it's especially bad. stretching and moving works-as painful as it is.

    Gentle hugs
