I have had FM for almost a year now and have been "diagnosed" by several different doctors. My latest problem are my hands. My knuckles and hands get red, hurt and swell. I saw another rheumatologist on 2/7 and was told that is the soft tissue and fluid causing my pain and swelling. I didn't think FM caused these types of symptoms? Anyone else have this problem?

I've already been tested by EMG for carpal tunnel - negative.

Thank you for your imput. As far as painkillers, they do not help. My neurontin (spelling???) doesn't help. Actually, I have yet to find anyting that helps. With this additional problem, I am hardly able to work due to the pain and it's making all of my other fibro problems worse from the stress. I just had a ton of bloodwork done again, trying to find a different answer but everything is negative so far.
