Doctor says I have RA along with fibro. Says he can't do anything for the fibro. I have Remicade treatments every 6 weeks. Seems to help a lot of the joint pain. But I still get severe pain and swelling in fingers and toes. I thought fibro didn't cause swelling. Do you guys have the same sypmtoms? It's very painful.

My fingers and hands swell up so bad that some times I can't feel them. I have to take off my rings which usually are so loose they turn on my fingers. Sometimes I can hardly get them off. I have tingling and numbness in them too.

My toes don't swell but my fingers have swollen so bad I couldn't curl them enough to grip a door knob. My neck, face, and armpits swell also. The doctor gave me Lasix which just made me fatigued and dehydrated. I have osteoarthritis, but not in my hands. It's in my feet where I don't really swell! Go figure! He doesn't know what causes it so I've stopped asking. I just chaulk it up to good ole FMS!
