Once more both T3 and T4 thyroid tests came back within the normal range. However, my doc is a bit suspicious that I may be one of those people who need a bit more than what is considered "normal." So he added a bit (5 mcg) of T4 to my regimen. I already use 112mcg of Synthroid (T3). Have any of you found the addition of T4 to be helpful? MsE

No--both the test results were mid range. I goofed, though. I had typed 112 mg. I should have typed 112 mcg. Woops.

Synthroid is all T4 - what is the name of the new drug he/she prescribed?? Was it Cytomel? (which is T3)

Yes it is Cytomel, but I am absolutely sure he said it was T4. Dummy doctor? Hope not!

I wish we had an osteopath in our little town, but we don't.
