How many tender points are there total? I have been doing research, and have found one place that said six...and another said 14....

In order to get a dianosis for FMS, you need to have at least 11 of those points, some in all four quadrants of your body. You can just have then above the belt or below the belt or on only one side.

This is an arbitrary criterium for use in daignoses. I've been sick for 12 years and only had tender points show up a couple of years ago. I have far more tender points than what is shown in the diagrams. The can appear almost anywehere there is soft tissue.

With the Guai treatment, many of my tender points have pretty much gone away now.

    Love, Mikie
