As a fellow mate in this painful problem, I thank everyone for their experiences. I wear a dentist made mouth guard (is that an NTI) and take Clonopin. Helps a little, but the massages I read about seem much more proactive. One of the problems with this pain is that it is not always covered by insurance....particulary if you want to see one of these dental TMJ specialists. Right now, I am working with a neurologist, but I would like to see a TMJ specialist....who I fear would just keep me on my routine. Doctors are not that easy to work with, so when you find one, stick with him/her. Again, thank you for everyone's comments.
