I thank everyone who responded to my post. At first it seemed like there was no one responding. Then the next day I checked for replies and was so surprised to hear from you all.
It is like a new world has opened for me. I have been diagnosed 11 years ago. I remember the specialist Dr. telling me that one of the worst things about this "syndrome" is the lack of understanding from the people around me, including my family. Then you guys respond and it's like you have lived my life and know this awful illness is real.
Besides the physical pain, the treatment from others to make us feel like "it's all in our heads" can be overwhelming and depressing. I live in the State of Wisconsin and have applied for every kind of benefit available for uninsured. We own our home and this disqualifies me from anything. I had to have surgery for a tumor last May and could get no help from agencies. We have had to sign our lives away promising to repay $15,000 in medical/surgeons costs. My surgeon and the hospital did give us a discount and this is the reduced bill. So... I cannot go to any Dr. or clinic with my FM CFS. I also have Lupus and still cannot qualify for disability. I've tried and the State of Wisconsin does not recognize FM as legitimate. I'm going on and on but I think you all know and have experienced these problems. I'm so happy to have found you guys and I will read through these posts like a ravenous wolf, hoping to learn from you.
Some of your suggestions I have tried and the others I am excited about trying.
Once again thank you so much.
    God Bless You All

I missed your last post but just wanted to welcome you aboard. You could probably qualify for disability with your lupus before the fibro.. Hugs!

I did not see your last post either, but Welcome! So sorry you are having so much trouble with the medical system. Healthcare here in the U.S. needs some major overhauling. I live in Southern Calif. There are so many people here, it is always an ordeal at the doctor's office. I never feel like I am getting the personal attention I need. But, I just try to stay positive, and I am sending positive thoughts your way. Keep asking questions because there is a lot of great advice here! Take care, Kim
