I make these every year and it's great for those who don't have much time.

    FORGOTTEN COOKIES makes 55 cookies

    3 egg white
    3/4 cup sugar
    l cup nuts chopped
    l cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites until almost stiff. Add sugar and continue beating until very stiff (but not dry--do not overbeat) Gently fold in nuts and chocolate chips.

Cover cookie sheet with waxed paper. Drop dough by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet in oven. TURN OVEN OFF. Do not open the oven door for 4-5 hours or overnight

There's a recipe I've never seen before. And you don't have to worry about them burning, right?!

because you turn the oven off. What it does is make a crisp meringue.
