    The Mold Help Diet

    This is an adapted diet from Dr. Vincent Marinkovich

    Symptoms of mold hypersensitivity can be worsened by eating foods, such as cheeses, that are processed with fungi. Other foods like mushrooms, which have gills that attract viruses, fungi, and other invaders, dried fruits, and foods containing yeast, soy sauce; which obtains its unique flavor from Aspergillus, or vinegar can also produce allergic symptoms. Avoid these foods if you suspect any mold allergies, or have suffered from prolonged exposure to toxigenic molds, and have yourself checked for leaky gut syndrome by a knowledgeable physician.

    A recipe guide will be available soon to make this diet more palatable as this diet is essential to cleansing the body of fungi according to several studies. It makes sense that adding more medication to an overloaded immune system doesn't always make sense.     Foods to Avoid!

    - NO dried fruit; raisons, apricots, prunes, figs, etc.
    - NO aged cheese of any kind - Some cheeses are acceptable if milk is tolerable, e.g., cottage cheese, mozzarella, provolone, ricotta and farmer's cheese.
    - NO mushrooms or fungi whatsoever, such as truffles, even avoid sprouts.
    - NO Leftovers- Eat within 24 hours, unless frozen (microwave frozen food to thaw quickly)
    - NO Breads. Malted means moldy. Dough conditioners are moldy. Sourdough or sourdough starter is the worst. (Sometimes labeled yeast-free) Bread develops surface mold within a day. Some tortillas, biscuits, muffins, cakes and cookies are usually yeast free, yet high in sugar content. You can buy sprouted bread with no yeast (Not sourdough) at the health food store.
    - NO Sauerkraut. It has been fermented.
    - NO Tomato Products; Juice, sauce, paste, ketchup, etc., are made from moldy tomatoes.
    - NO Beer - The darker the beer, the more mold it contains.
    - NO Wine & Wine Vinegar - White wine is least moldy; clear vinegar may be tolerated.
    - NO liquor - Vodka, tequila, clear rums are least moldy.
    - Be careful of multi-B Vitamins - Many contain either yeast or mold (Rice hulls are moldy). Some are
    alright. Check with manufacturer. See note below on Aspergillus fermentation process.
    - NO cider or fruit juice (juice contains mold as it is made with old fruit).
    - NO Pickled and smoked meats and fish, including processed delicatessen foods, sausages, salami, bologna, frankfurters, corned beef and pickled tongue.
    - NO eggs
    - NO melons, except watermelon if very fresh and eaten same day.

    FOODS TO EAT

    Eat only freshly opened canned foods and freshly prepared fresh fruits and vegetables. CHECK TO SEE IF ORGANIC PRODUCE TREATED WITH ROTENONE HAS BEEN BANNED IN YOUR STATE, IF YOU CHOOSE TO EAT ORGANICS.

    Eat plenty of protein; including meats, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, and fresh fish as often as possible. It's amazing how the proper diet can make all the difference in the world.

    Drink bottled water. Tap water contains mold. Try to drink distilled or reverse osmosis water as it retains the good bacteria in the digestive tract.

    Try to avoid chemicals and additives such as hormones and antibiotics. Try to avoid wheat and wheat products as much as possible.

    To eliminate fungal growths, do the following:

    Deprive the fungus of moisture (change socks often, use heat etc., P.247 of "The Cure for all Diseases")
    Deprive the invaders of iron (provide extra zinc)
    Deprive the fungus of sugar (modify diet)
    Strengthen the skin's immune power (avoid lotions etc.)
    Strengthen the skin's healing ability (keep clean, use H2O2 35% in bathing water, available with other approved products)
    Here is how to consume mold-free food:

    Make and bake food items for yourself, using no sugar (substitutes are available here under MH Diet)
    Test the things you dearly love but cannot make or bake
    Treat things that are treatable for molds
    Wash the outside of fruits and vegetables with Vit C or 17% Hydrogen peroxide solution
    Throw the rest out of your diet!

    Cytochalasin B Mycotoxin - lowers immunity. Stops normal cell division. 77,91 Schizophrenia. Damaged liver cannot regenerate. In pasta.
    Ergot Food fungus - especially alcoholic beverages. Alcohol and ergot interact to make each more toxic. Alcohol drives this toxin deeper into our tissues. (add Ester C - 1/8 tsp. per cup to store-bought products such as wine). Promotes strange feelings and behavior - especially in children. LSD is an ergotoxin. Ergot is a fungus which replaces the seeds of the rye plant (Secale cornatum). It takes the form of black or purplish-black, crooked grains or "spurs" , about 3/4 to 1 1/2" long and 1/10 to 2/10 inch thick. It has a nauseous odor and a disagreeable taste. Thus it is found in cereals, whole grain breads, wines and honey. Can be detoxified by adding vitamin C but takes at least 10 minutes. Warm honey and add 1/8 tsp. per cup. Stir. 295 Contributes to alcoholism and causes seizures, schizophrenia, To help clear ergot from the body take glutamine (500 mg.), a B-50 complex and Vit. B3 (niacinamide -500 mg) with each meal. Add Vitamin C to nuts, pasta cereals, grains etc. Avoid fossil fuel contamination. Switch to electric everything. Also help getting rid of beryllium by taking thioctic acid maybe 4 per day. Ergot may be responsible for bizarre behavior such as saying mean and cruel things, expressing unusual, irrational thoughts, feeling emotionless or unreal, having crying spells or bad temper.
    Griseofulvin Food mold 288
    Kojic acid Mold toxin found in the gray part of potatoes. Responsible for wood alcohol build-up. Diabetics accumulate this mold and cannot detoxify wood alcohol. Diabetics also carry HA virus (spreads like a wart). Toxic effect prevents liver from detoxifying wood alcohol. This leads to pancreatic damage, pancreatic fluke infestation and diabetes.
    Ochratoxin Food mold
    Patulin (Sample is apple bruise) Major fruit mold toxin. It is present in most common fruits if they are bruised. Grows in patches in intestine and allows E-coli and Shigella to climb through colon wall. Bacteria invade regions of injury and tumors. Peel fruit and avoid bruised fruit or dubious quality.
    Sorghum Food mold - Sorghum syrup and millet carry these. Also brown sugar. Causes hemorrhages, appetite loss and inability to swallow. Shows up in elderly persons as stroke and purple blotches on the skin. 277 Rinse in Vit. C water before cooking or add to cooking water.
    Sterigmatocystin Mycotoxin - also called " Sterig", plentiful in pasta including health brands, maple syrup 88,96,133,126 Schizophrenia
    T-2 Toxin Mold - found mostly in dried peas, beans and lentils. Detoxify in 5 minutes by adding 1/8 tsp. vitamin C to the soak water. Throw away imperfect ones. Found in all cases of kidney disease and high blood pressure. Avoid other moldy foods such as nuts.
    Tinea Causes crotch itch
    Cheese mold (Sample is from soft white cream cheese) Unknown food mold 235.5 Needs to be verified
    Zearalenone ("Zear") Very toxic mold - Inhibits detoxification of benzene. Produces excess estrogen (popcorn, corn chips, brown rice, commercial cereal grains, processed foods and feeds) which the liver must detoxify. This also drastically effects immunity and contributes to thymus atrophy. 100 Add vitamin C to cooked foods to detoxify molds. 1/8 teaspoon per cup. Excess estrogen causes wide mood swings and a high pitched voice. All breast cancer cases show too-high estrogen levels for years before cancer manifests. Zeralenone (and high estrogen levels) causes females maturing too early, ovarian cysts, infertility. This causes breast sensitivity and period & menopausal problems. Affects men too. Produces a low white blood cell count.

    Here is a recipe for eradicating aflatoxins in food items:

    Simply sprinkling vitamin C over roasted nuts is not effective because the molds have penetrated the surface. Rinse the nuts in water first (a lot of mold is removed in this simple way). Cover the nuts with water, add about 1/4 tsp. vitamin C powder (for a pint of nuts) and mix. Let stand for 5 minutes. The water penetrates the nuts, taking the vitamin C with it and detoxifies them. Pour off the water and dry the nuts in the oven at low heat. (Don't burn them or you'll be making benzopyrene!).

    Nevertheless...
    Avoid crackers, they are notorious for molds
    Dried fruits are very moldy. Soak in vitamin C water. Rinse and bake to dry again. Then store in refrigerator or freezer.
    Peanut (store-bought) butter can't be mixed with Ester C due to the mixing problem even if you mix thoroughly.
    Tea is quite moldy if purchased in tea bags. Use single herb teas from fresh sources in bulk. Use a non-metal strainer.
    Sterilize strainer and dish washing rag or sponge occasionally with hydrogen peroxide, or bake it or put it in a dishwasher.
    Pick out all dark and shriveled bits in hot cereals. Add honey and salt while boiling. This raises the temperature even more.
    At the end, add vitamin C powder.
    Do not use grains that are more than six months old. Store cereals in cupboard or freezer not the refrigerator. There they attract moisture which develops molds.
    Buy red potatoes instead of white ones and wash them well. Cut out dubious spots. They don't have the green scopolamine areas which are toxic. Don't fry them!
    Cut the ends off corn on the cob. Refrain from eating nachos, popcorn and other dry corn products.

    Last week, it was your detox pesto recipe. Now I'm getting some great info on some things that do bother my son. He is allergic to molds as well, but I didn't know they whys of some of the foods included...very interesting. Plus, we haven't been diligent to follow his diet lately, so I think we should get back on it. I'm going to add glutamine to his supplements.

    for all this information. When I was diagnosd , a long time ago, my Dr. told me not to eat several things on this list, but she didn't explain why. As time has gone on, I've gone back to eating some of these things, and now I think I know why I always have a sinus infection!!

    Thank you so much for posting this!!! I have always had a big problem with mold! I printed it out and will read the whole thing later.

    Last week, I tried Kefir for the first time. It is a fermented drink, something like yogurt. I have been sick ever since. I had about 3 onces, 3 days in row. Cultured and fermented foods can make me really sick. I once tried Shoyu, which is a fermented soy sauce, and got very sick from that.

    Some fermented foods like Kefir, shoyu, etc. are supposed to be really good for you. That is why I try them. I have some raw fermented sauerkraut in a jar from the health food store, but I am afraid to try it. It is supposed to be very beneficial for you. Well, I have been feeling great lately and then I try these things and I get sick. I should stop trying all these things and stick to what has been working for me. Apple cider vinegar also bothers me, much more than reguar vinegar.

    I am surprised to see eggs on the list. I wonder why they would be included. Anyway, I am having a bad week because of the Kefir and I am so thankful that you posted this. I did some research a while back, but never came across this much info all in one place.

    I am bumping this because I think it goes beyond the usual anti-candida diet. This might explain why some of us can not tolerate the usual healthy foods like nuts, whole grains, yogurt,kefir,raw sauerkraut, shoyu (fermented soy sauce), over ripe fruit,and more.

    My reaction to mold is so severe that I always thought it was more than a candida problem.

    Off to the health food store to get some fresh produce, unlike the moldy organic food at my local grocery store. Feeling lousy still from a mold reaction, so I hope this goes well.
