i mentioned this in another post but decided it deserved its own thread. i highly recommend the book "molecules of emotion" by candace pert. she is the scientist that discovered the opiod receptor in 1972 and has gone on to do a lot of research into the bodymind connection and the common language between the brain and our endocrine and immune systems. the women on the board might especially appreciate her story since she constantly butted heads with the boys club of high stakes medical research. her work is highly relevant to our illnesses and the book, though a little dense at time, is an engaging, interesting read.

I read this a number of years ago and it is a good read. It has some very good insights on illnesses such as ours. I wish a lot of Doctors would read it!!
