The Problem with Antidepressants

    I think the problem with antidepressants is partly in the way they are prescribed.

    Years ago, if you were depressed, you went to a psychiatrist (an MD) who prescribed them. Now it seems psychiatrists are few and far between and most people see psychologists. Their PCP's are prescribing the A/D's

    I truly don't think alot of PCP's are knowledgable on dosage and side effects and as a result, they start out prescribing too high a dose and we are hit with all these side effects.

    It's just my opinion
