Thiamine and low potassium

    The wording is very ambiguous where it says: "(3) require that the term “folic acid” be used in the labeling of dietary supplements only." Is it saying that only dietary supplements can use the term folic acid (meaning that they can also use the term folate when appropriate), or that dietary supplements can only use the term folic acid (and not use the term folate at all). It's crucial where you put that little word "only" and there's evidence that drug companies may have an interest in how this plays out.

    If dietary supplements can only use the word folic acid, then it effectively bans them from selling folate.

    But you could be right - hopefully it is just a matter of extremely awkward wording- thanks for pointing this out - I hadn't read the actual language before -
