Well, it's been a very tough couple of weeks. I have been fighting to get Medicaid (govt health insur.) since May. Today I finally got it!!!!! I have paid over $3,000 out of pocket for meds since January, and I finally got meds today for FREE!!! It was one of the most relieving moments of my life, I've gotta say!!

Last Friday, in order to finalize the Medicaid, I had to apply for the appeal from my SSI denial. So, that has been filed. Next step is that I have to find a good lawyer that will take my case. I wasn't even sure if I was going to fight it. I was going to just try to get myself functional enough to go back to work. I just really miss being in the workforce. But that really is just so unrealistic!

More and more people are contributing their stories for my book. It is getting a little overwhelming trying to keep track of everyone and what is going on with them. But I am learning little by little how to keep everyone organized. I just wish I could stand to sit longer at the computer to write back everyone the way that I want to . It really does a number on my back and knees to sit here. But I have been doing a little at a time.

I have gotten 5 women that live here in my city who responded from my TV interview. They also want to be part of my book, and want to be a part of my support group once its up and running. I have contacted the Arthritis Foundation, and am just waiting for their response. I guess that I have to take some kind of certification course to run a support group, which I am fully ready and willing to do!

My new doctor has been wonderful. She had put me on Norco instead of the Lortab that I was on before. I told her that it wasn't cutting it, and she immediatly put me back on the Lortab, and raised my daily dosage to a max of 6 instead of 4!! What a relief!!!

I have my massive lab work appointment tommorrow, and a follow up visit with my doc on the 19th. We will determine at that point what specialists she will refer me to. It so so great to have a doc who is proactive enough, and who wants to quickly get me the right treatments that I need!!

So, all and all, things are coming together. The tension is lifting more and more everyday. It is great since I have been working so hard to make all of this happen for so long, and I am finally seeing the fruits of my labor. It really does make a difference when youput yourself out there and make things happen!!

I will keep you all up to date as I find out more as the days go on. I hope that my progress will give somone else some hope that things really can get better if you work hard enough for it!! God Bless All Of You!!

So glad to hear things are picking up and especially that you have medical coverage now!! Wish I could qualify but my income on state disability is too much...I have to wait till it runs out!

I haven't forgot you as far as my story's still in the works. I've just been too weak to type much and my brain isn't clear enough to use voice recognition but thanks for being the motivator to get me going at writing again...I truly love it. You are an inspiration.

    Love & Blessings,

I just talked to a good froend of mine who lives a couple hours away. She is a computer GENIUS!!!! She is going to set a wonderful website up for me. First I just need to figure out what I want to call my book ,and my site. She said that normally is would cost 1,000's of dollars to do what she's going to do for $70!!! I have to find an organization that can sponser it for me!! So, things are coming along!!! YAY!!!
