Throat muscles

I have had this symptom since I had a whiplash injury in the 1980's. Some days it's not so bad, others, it is. Right now, where it is usually on the left side, it's on the right lately.

For a few weeks now, it feels like sore muscles coming up from the soreness in the shoulder muscle, which is chronic. The tenderness goes along the inside of the throat.

I do yoga stretches and have a class once a week which helps til the next class. Massage therapy helps but it's out-of-pocket, which I don't keep up.

I take Advil, warm epsom soaks and constantly stretching. My doctor also advised to add the Q10 to my arsenal of supplements and fish oil.

I was x-rayed once for the left side, I have a "pocket" in my throat and it was visible on the x-ray, something out of place.

Anyone experience this, too with FMS? At one time my neck and mouth were frozen, but with therapy years ago, I can open my mouth but the neck still stiffens.
