My upper back hurts so bad and only feels better when fiancee rubs it. But he can't keep doing that all day because he has a job and his arm gets tired.

Anyway, it hurts! It's pretty constant and seems to affect the front of my chest too. I have on and off shortness of breath and am wondering if it is this muscle tension?

Is this FM? I only have CFS I think.

    Anyway, thanks..

I have the pain across my upper back and into the left arm. The chest, head and neck will tighten every once in a while also. This started last Thursday but don't know why. Rubbing does help however your are right nobody wants to massage you all the time. I have pool noodles that I use. I put 3 on the floor and I roll on them, left to right and top to bottom.

Yes, I've had the pulmonary workup and a ekg and they say all is well.

I have an appt on Wed at the FFC (1st time) and I'm going to ask about it. I'm so sick of it.
