Anyone have any idea what this could be. It is just a tiny spot on the side of my nose but every time I rub my nose it bleeds.(ALOT) Like it won't heal. Could it be one of the RX's I am taking...thinning my blood or something....Anyone ??

My Mother in Law just had the same thing. She went to the doctor and he told her it was cancer. She had to have it removed, which was quite a process. They remove layer by layer, checking each one under the microscope, until they get it all. I don't mean to scare you, but this sounds like the same thing. See you Doctor right away... just to be sure.
I will be praying for you.

The good news is, my Mother in Law's type of skin cancer was isolated. It was not a type that spread. Once they get it, it is gone. I will be praying for you. ~Teddi

I had something like that some years ago on my lip, but it was not cancer, just pre cancer, but they burn it off and I have been fine. Good Luck... please don't be afraid because skin cancer can be treatable...Barb

I woke up in the middle of the night and that tiny spot on my nose was bleeding again. Seemed like forever before it stopped. I soaked 4 kleenex's before I finally got it to stop. I am really getting worried about this. For a few days I thought it was getting better but now, I think it is time to get it checked out. Does anyone have trouble with stopping bleeding from a small cut, scratch or spot? I just really need to know if this is anything to do with FM or if it is defanitley something else. Thanks Mick!!

It sounds alot like a hemangioma, A big word for a collection on tiny capillaries. While it can be bothersome, it is not cancerous.

BUT, on the other hand,RATHER BE SAFE, THAN SORRY.
    Get is checked out!!

    Good luck,
    Cathy

and was referred to a specialist who froze the spots very quickly and painlessly- i remember it just pricked a bit- then the places healed back in better condition. i think the spots were pre-cancerous and needed encouragement to grow back more normally. skin on noses is very thin, and i know i had many sunburns over the years. it's good to catch it right away. sascha

I had a sore in my nose for FOURTEEN YEARS that would not heal no matter what my ENT did.

Nosebleeds, or nasals sores that won't heal can also be a symptom of Wegener's Granulatomous (sp?), an auto-immune illness that affects the vascular system.

I simple biopsy of the salivary gland can give you a definitive diagnosis. Mine was negative. We think that my immune system just couldn't deal with whatever caused the sore in the first place, and as I began to heal, the sore went away.

A good ENT will know how to do this simple biopsy.

    Best of luck,

HI, WELL i had the same thing. that doesn't mean my diagnosis is the same as yours.

mine was basel cell skin cancer. it is not malignant but it must be removed or it will only get worse. i waited over a year. it was on the tip of my nose and they had to take skin off layer by layer until all was removed. mine was quite deep and i had to have plastic surgery the next day. after about a month i had to have dermabrasion done to smooth out the skin. i have a scar but most people dont notice it but me. it was a difficult time but actually not as bad as having malignant skin cancer. see a dr right away. good luck and God Bless.

I have an appointment today with a dermatologist. Went to my PCP yesterday and she didn't want anything to do with it in case it is cancer. Thanks to everyone!!...Mick!!

This needs checking. I had a spot on the end of my nose that did the same thing and it turned out to be a harmless too near the surface capilliary. It eventually just bled itself dry. The spot was about the size of a pin head.

Get it checked for cancer, and keep positive.
