    I think you might have EMG mixed up with EKG. An Electro Myleogram involves sticking needles in you and then running electrical current through them. An Electrocardiogram records cardiac activity through conductors that are attached to the chest. An EEG, or Electroencephalogram, records brain activity in a manner similar to the EKG. They are all entirely different tests producing entirely different results. Medical terminology is something of an alphabet soup of acronyms and it is sometimes difficult to keep them all straight.

    Actually I think I'll write this down so I have a record of it for the future.
