    Good morning all...

I'm posting this because of course, I'm the first one up on Monday morning but also because I don't remember seeing Kim post last week.

    Kim...are you ok?

Today I need to vacuum (badly)...they finished our deck on Saturday and hubby and I have been dragging saw dust into the house all weekend.

I need to call and reschedule my doc appt for the 25th because Stuttgart is hosting the World Championship Cycling event and I won't be able to leave my home for 5 days, unless I want to wallk up the stairs on the huge hill (mountain) just so I can park somewhere else.

Water plants and have my Monday phone call to my friend in Florida....

    Hugs all,

    Nancy B

    Hello friends.

My weekend in Niagara Falls was beyond perfection. I'm tired today but completely blissful, having spent such quality time with my sons. We stayed in a family suite at the Hilton (very nice) and had a wonderful view of the falls. I was able to accommodate my FM without too much trouble; an hour or two of sight-seeing, followed by an hours rest back at the hotel.

I don't have any photos yet but my daughter-in-law said she'd send me the ones she took - at that point I'll post one for you.

In the meantime I've posted a picture of sweetie and me on the occasion of our attending the play, the Merchant of Venice (2 weeks ago).

    To-Do Today

    - usual housework chores
    - make appointment with hairdresser
    - make grocery list for tomorrow's shopping
    - water the indoor plants
    - take down hanging plant baskets on front porch (after a few night's frost, they're beyond revival)
    - shower, dress, make-up
    - weight-watcher's meeting

    God bless,
    Anne Theresa

We have a nice weekend. Our first Sunday for our choir to sing during t he worship service. Then 3 couples and a gal, all our children's ages, asked us to join them when we went into a local restaurant for dinner. Made us feel SO GOOD and special.

Today i finally had that lady that occasionally comes to clean. How wonderful that was!!! I don't do it often and it makes me feel so good to know that all is clean once again. I just work on a room once in a while so now it's all clean.

    * I did do laundry and washed hubby's best sweater and
    the bathroom rug.

    * Wrote E-mail birthday cards to a few.

*Finished my book on Angels. So wonderful and makes you f
feel that there truly are guardian angels watching over

That doesn't look like a lot. Why am I tired?

    Gentle hugs to all,

Yesterday didn't go as daughter called and she had crashed again, heartbreaking but not completely unexpected.

I called her husband, he picked me up and we basically flew to their house. I got her cleaned up, we took her back to the ER and psych in Heidelburg again and they've adjusted her meds.

She (they're) staying with us for awhile (as long as I can keep them, probably at least 2 weeks) while we do our basic 7/24 watch to make sure she's ok during the med change which is always a dangerous time.

So today I need to get her laundry started early (she has no clean clothes) so she can bathe and change and get cleaned up.

The repairman for my hot water pump is coming today so I need to clean out the utility closet before he comes.

And I'll just have to see how the rest of the day goes....hopefully it will be ok.

She almost seemed relieved to have the 'episode' over with. We've both known this was coming and her husband handled it well so now she doesn't have to worry about that anymore.

Anne Theresa, your sweetie is cute and you two look wonderful together.

Linda, I'll fiddle with the pics soon so I can change the pic but it'll probably be a few days. Feel free to remind me, I don't mind a bit.

Hugs all and as always, thanks for being there for me!

    Hi, Girls:

I called in sick to work yesterday. I had a flare-up over the weekend. We did manage to see the play over the weekend, which was good. The rest of the day on Sunday, I did a lot of sleeping. I had a dr. appt. in Ann Arbor yesterday afternoon, so I couldn't stay home and rest all day and, of course, the doctor was running an hour behind schedule. Oh, well.

Anne Theresa: So glad you had a good trip with your husband and boys. What a handsome husband you have! You two make a cute couple.

Nancy: I'm so sorry your daughter has crashed, but I know you've been saying she's been on the edge the past week. I hope things improve for her soon. I'm glad they got your deck done.

Linda: And here I thought I was the only one who still used recipes from high school! Wouldn't our teachers be proud! I want to see the Jodie Foster or the Halloween movie this coming weekend.

Sue: I'm glad the medicine is starting to kick in and you are feeling better. I had to laugh at you making your house look so nice and then selling. My parents used to do that, too.

Joan: I believe in angels, too.

    To-do list:

    -lunch with a co-worker
    -pool therapy class
    -empty wastebaskets (done)
    -vacuum livingroom and bedrooms
    -take a long nap

Hello all. Thanks for the nice comments about the recent photo of sweetie and I. I agree my partner is a cutie and he's beautiful within, as well.

Jammy envy? Your brilliant Linda! and you've perfectly described how I feel when I read Nancy's posts about making pajamas. As the weather turns cool (as it has here) there's nothing better than a cuddly-warm pair of pajama pants.

Joan, I'm glad you had such a good weekend. I've not been gifted to sing so I doubly enjoy listening to others and church choirs are my favourite of all. My mother taught me to believe in guardian angels and I do, completely.

Nancy, I'm sorry your daughter's having a rough time but how wonderful that her new husband was able to take the episode in stride and be supportive and helpful. Love prevails.

Ellen, I'm sorry you've not been feeling well. Fibro flare-ups seem to come out of no-where sometimes, without warning or an apparent cause. I hope today is better for you.

I look forward to hearing from our more quiet and/or absent to-do list friends. I hope you each are well, enjoying the transition from summer to fall and having many good days.

    To-Do List

    tidy bedroom
    clean kitchen counters, sinks, stove-top
    swipe washroom
    sweep floors (all)
    empty wastebaskets

    God bless,
    Anne Theresa

When I read all of your posts of what you do each day, I wonder why I don't do more.

This has been a bad, bad day. I decided yesterday I would go without Tramadol. Went without today and paid for it!!!
I hurt so much and felt terrible. Finally gave in at noon and took 2 and went to bed. Much better now.

Before i took the meds. I tried getting the town rust off of the tub and lavatory. Didn'gt work!!

I drug some summer things upstairs and threw down some more winter. That was really the end of me.

Sorry I am so down but you all really make me feel better.

You are wonderful and i hope that tomorrow I can accomplish somethiong worthwhile.

    (I would really love spell-check on Pro=ealth~~~~~~~~~~~)

    Gentle Hugs to all

I'm afraid my home ec class made.......drumroll, please.........breaded tomatoes!
Yuck- high school girls were not even remotely interested in soggy breaded tomatoes! I don't remember making anything good....

My twin boys had to have a physical today. Funny story- the doc told them that everything was fine, except one of the boy's urine. It was so pale and unusual. He then held up the cup of clear looking liquid. He said it doesn't smell like urine....then he tasted it, and said it doesn't taste like urine! My son about fainted! Well, of course it was water and the doc was pulling his leg! Luckily, the doc is a family friend, so we were all able to chuckle about it. I won't sue for malpractice!

I hope everyone is feeling OK and I will definitely try the cola in the toilet bowl, Linda......

    Hello all.......

Ellen, I hope you feel better soon.

Linda, all you have to do is ask...hope things turn out well for your husband.

Terri, loved your story, what a doc!!

My day is pretty much going to be like the next few weeks. Keeping a 7/24 watch on my daughter doesn't allow much time to do anything because I don't really leave her side and I don't allow her out of my sight either.

If I nap, she comes with me...etc....

I'll change her dressings again this morning, hope to water my plants and my housekeeper is coming again tomorrow so I won't have to worry much about keeping the house neat with 4 people and the kitty cat's back too.

She did well yesterday amid the whining and realization that she's here for awhile...and why. She's had so many reactions to meds in the past that I'm really keeping an eye on this. Since she was non compliant on meds for the last month or so, I'll take extra care this time and I've printed out the list of possible reactions so the guys can help me with this when they're here at night.

Her husband is doing so well with this. He brought her a new stuffed animal last night in a pretty gift bag. And brought her favorite movies and books and things to help keep her company during the day.

He has no complaints on having to move in with us during this time and is really helping to make this as smooth as possible.

    Hugs all,

    Nancy B

Thanks for all the good wishes, everyone. I'm doing better. Of course I would love to wake up feeling really refreshed, but such is the life of a fibromyalgic. I know I push myself more than I should. Sometimes I wonder if I should be working, but I really don't know how we would do it if I wasn't. We used some of our savings while I was off during the summer.

We are having summer this week. Sleeping with the windows open and in the 80's during the day. It's been really dry so I've had to water my flowers.

My lunch date with my friends today got cancelled as my one friend can't make it. So we will reschedule. I shouldn't be on here too long as I have a busy work day ahead of me.

Terri: Breaded tomatoes? That doesn't sound very good! Sorry-I meant to answer your earlier question. Yes, I use egg noodles in the Spanish noodles recipe. I use whole wheat noodles as I try to cook healthier, but you can use whatever you like. You had me going on the urine story-your doctor has some sense of humor!

Nancy: Watching your daughter 24/7 must have you so stressed out. Of course I know you've been through this before, but I'm sure it doesn't make it any easier.

Linda: Of course I will pray for you and your husband. I hope the test results come out okay.

Joan: Just keep in mind that just because we put out a to-do list, it doesn't mean we do everything on it!

Anne Theresa: I, too, miss our absent friends. I'm especially concerned about Kim. She may just be busy with her friend who has cancer. I do hope we hear from her soon.

    To-do list:

    -lunch with Jim
    -get groceries
    -vacuum bathroom and kitchen

I stayed in bed late this morning to watch an old movie - such a wonderful & restful way to begin the day.

Today is a stay-at-home day for me. I plan to relax, read & rest and perhaps watch another movie.

As well, I'll do my daily housework chores and cook something nice for dinner (with enough left over to freeze for another day).

Linda, I'd be happy to say a prayer for your husband.

    God bless,
    Anne Theresa

Thank you, dear ones, for your caring.

Breaded tomatoes are absolutely the best. Heat the tomatoes until they are cooked down a bit. I put just a tiny bit of flour and water in them to thicken them a bit. I toast the white bread, tear it up in tiny pieces and put them in the tomatoes. My hubby and I adore them. Must try them again soon.

I always mean to thank you by name, then i forget the names, etc. Think I will write them down from now on.

I did water the few flowers I have outside. It is HOT and dry again.

Pushed around thd Swiffer carpet sweeper on various spots. Made me so out of breath.

Thank you again. I plan to write down names and reply to you.

    Gentle Hugs,

Another busy day at the College. I have this big project which needs to be done by tomorrow and requires a lot of typing. Not good for my hands, arms and shoulders. I'm starting to feel the effects. Fortunately, I don't normally do this much typing.

    To-do list:

    -pick up prescriptions
    -yearly check-up with the gynecologist
-pool therapy class (hopefully I won't be late)

I hope to goof off more the rest of the day. I have several magazines piling up I haven't had time to read.

Well, I better get back to work.

Hello. I hope everyone is well.

    Thursday To-Do List

    - sweep/spot clean bedroom floor
    - sort laundry
    - empty wastebaskets
    - organize/update appointments calendar
    - cook
    - read, read, read

My main priority today is to cook because I didn't cook at all yesterday (or the day before). As well as needing to cook our dinner, I need to replenish our supply of meals for the freezer. (I make and freeze food in TV-dinner trays so I'll have easy meals for the days I don't feel able to cook.)

    God bless,
    Anne Theresa

    I've missed you all!

Thank you to all who have kept this thread going. If anyone wants, I'd be willing to post it after October is over! Of course, you never know what time, or if I'll have the days/months, etc correct! LOL

Nancy: Thank you for asking about me. Had the week trip to CA. Came home exhausted, of course! Busy with 6 month check ups with all of my specialist's, and DD's wedding, 10/6. How is your DD doing? I was so sorry to read she relapsed. I'm BP, and my heart goes out to you all. How wonderful to have you as a mother, and her DH to stand up to the plate!

Linda: You and your DH have constantly been in my prayers. I wish you both, and your family did not have to go through this waiting period. I'm sending many hugs, gentle of course, to you and you husband. I will be praying extra hard for you when the results are in.

To everyone, I've missed you very much!

Today, I'm cooking for our 20 y/o son's BD. I already have the two pork loins going. Have cleaned front part of home where everyone will be! Wet swiffered the floors. Have to wipe down main bath, and I'm done! Until tonight. My DH is so helpful. Thank heaven.

I wish you all body's that are feeling better, pray for those who are going through very difficult day's, and hope this week treat's you kind..

    Many gentle hugs,

Kim, it's good to see you back and posting and I'll be happy to start the post if needed.

Today is more of the same for me, although I need to get some groceries and a doc appt for my Ritalin. I'll have to see what my daughter's up for today.

We've been making small trips out to pick up a few things at our PX and it's gone pretty well so far except when someone came on the PA system and she ducked and started looking all around for the voices that scared her. (It was sort of funny) She's also extremely senstive to light with the med changes too right now so she was blinking rapidly while looking for the voices.....small steps.

Her wounds are healing although I still change the dressings daily and she's still wrapped up in an ace bandage. Not sure how she's going to explain this new set of cuts but at least it's cold here and she can wear long sleeves. (It never helps to have people asking how she hurt herself)

I have loads of laundry to do but don't like to leave her for any length of time to go downstairs and get it done. Still in the back of my mind is that it only took one thought to make her do what she did this time....

Hope everyone is feeling better soon and has a wonderful weekend...
