On the thread of how long we've had our disease..........I saw where you said that you were pain free for 11 years because of the Bowen Treatment!
You said hurting was starting to come back.

WHAT IS THE BOWEN TREATMENT?????????? Is it something the rest of us could try? ETC.

If it helped you for 11 years, couldn't you go through the treatment again?

I am REALLY curious. (((HUGS))) and Blessings !!!!!!!!

Yes, I have heard of Bowen and had a few treatments. It is usually very gentle, but I would tell them that you have fms and to please be gentle.

I can't tell you a lot about it other than that, sorry. You can do a search on this sight and online and get more information though.

I have not hat an ongoing series of treatments, and actually had it for lower back pain and it helped a lot.

    THANKS for your help.

I had already checked this site and I came up with nothing on Bowen Treatment.
BUT I did NOT think to google it. I ran it through a search engine and now have lots to read on it.

    Again.......I appreciate very much..............

    Sorry for the late reply.

Bowen was offered to me by someone I knew who was trained in it and couldn't bear to see me suffer anymore.

Bowen is aboriginal in origin and is as old as acupuncture.

Bowen believes that the body gets confused with all the signals travelling around the body.

The treatment involves tiny manipulation in a serious of areas of the body most of the treatment is spent lying relaxing. They believe that Bowen can help any condition. My son was hyperactive on food colourings and now can eat anything.

I had four treatments and yes I am going to try another course of Bowen as it certianly helped me. I thought perhaps it was a matte rof mind of the condition but my son wasn't even 4 when he had treatment which worked for him.

It isn't an invasive treatment but you do need to let the therapist know what you have and where you suffer the most pain.

    I hope this helps you.
try this website for more info.

I am in Uk and don't know of any specialists in USA and I don't know the USA at all.

Not sure if this website will be of any help:

    http://www.internationalholistictherapiesdirectories.com/bowentherapyusa.htm

I am not sure what the cost is but here in UK treatment is £25 a session and they recommend 3+ sessions...each session lasts 90 minutes..........

Please let me know how you get on.

    Good luck....
