I like the Constant Comment decaf teas because they are already spiced. You can use either the black or green tea; both are delicious and almost equal in antioxidants.
Tear off the string and tag and put the bag in the cup and leave it there. Pour hot water over the teabag and let it sit a bit. Add some cream, some sweetener like stevia (I use the new Suzanne Somers SomerSweet) and plenty of cinnamon. It's delicious. Cinnamon and celery are two of the best things for reducing insulin resistance in the body.
I cannot tell you how soothing this drink is and is very satisfying.
I also make a delicious mocha drink by putting unsweetened cocoa powder in a cup of coffee and adding the Somersweet and some cream. It really helps with the craving for chocolate. Again, this is a very satisfying drink but not as soothing as the chai. I have noticed that botique stores are now selling chai sets and charging big bucks for them.
Enjoy your chai! Bon Apetit!
sounds great! can't wait to try some
