So sorry to hear about your mom- or Mum as you say in your neck of the woods. Had she been ill for a long time? It will be hard when I lose mine. My father in law passed away almost 10 years ago, and my husband still wishes he could call him up and ask for advice.
Take care of yourself and God bless-

my Mum had been ill on and off since September, dizzy spells, fractured her back, low blood pressure that they couldnt fix. She'd had heart problems for many years but was up to a year ago very active, very independent.

Thing is Terry, I should have realised she was going to die but I didnt, it was a complete shock, she had been out of hospital for 10 days and seemed to be doing really well. It was heart failure and I think she went peacefully.

Yes, I can understand how your husband still wants to turn to his Dad, I think I'll always think of my Mum too.

Thanks for the post Terri and I hope your Mum and Dad continue to do well.
