Hello Shannon. Just wanted to drop you a note to wish ya
a Merry Christmas. I left a message on one of your Posts
last nite but don't think you have seen it yet. Bekah was
on the Porch today and isn't feeling up to snuff either.
It is particularily difficult on the Holidays to tolerate
these illnesses but we make due.

Hope you are feeling better and try to communicate as ya
    can, OK?

    Your friend,
    MRDAD aka Joe
P.S. Let us know if ya spot Santa flying over you on his
trip South to U.S. I usually have to shovel more than
just snow off the roof after he and the Reindeer's leave!

Dear Mrdad, I'm trying to communicate with a series of blinks. Getting anything? ;)

I got my one good day after all. I got to watch a little TV with my brothers on Sunday. I've been feeling less than ideal since then, but tollerable.

Thanks for writing. :) Are you recovering okay from the hollidays? Who's Bekah? Feel like I should know the answer, but the memory doesn't work.

Yea. I survived the Holiday but they "ain't" over yet!
I still have some people to see that were not available
when I was. Bekah is "Luxuria" your Canadian neighbor
with the Pug Puppie. I guess with this unusual weather
up there you've been spending alot of time out at the
    swimming pool?

    Hope you are doing better!

What's left on the holidays for you?

No swimming pools in Canada, Joe... just kidding! None for me, anyway. I curl like burning paper at a whiff of clorine. I do enjoy a view of the Best Little Tree in the World. We had some fresh snow today, and it made the backyard all smooth again, showing off the tree nicely. On a cloudy night, all the reflected street lamps light up the yard pretty well.

Any projects on the go? Are you fairly incapacitated, or can you still get around well? Do you like dollar stores?

My primary problem is the CFS, brain frog and some joint
and muscle "pain". Much varies but I'm increasingly fat-
igued as this illness seems to be progressing very S-lo-o-
o-wly. Sleeping alot more now but doesn't do the amt. of
good one would normally get from it. (???)

I do get out almost everyday to the Park and/or
coffee shop. I know lots of people in the Neighborhood
and with you and other friends and Family I'm never
bored or even get "bumed out"? Had lunch wiff my Son to-
day, speak everynight with the "Old" Squeeze etc. etc.

Yes. There are lots of "Dollar" Stores and 2nd Hand places
thrift shops etc. in the "Barrio". Don't "hang" much in
the stores anymore 'cause of the "brain frog" thing! Read-
ing just puts me to sleep right away! But I'm thankful
I can yet function reasonablly well.

Are you collecting anything now? It is fun to have a
collection or two going. Know some people who collect
Ninja Turtles if 'in ya what to find a good home 4 those
    twin brothers!

    Huggles Shannon!

What do you like best in a day?

I'm glad you can still get around.

Sorry, I can't write much lately. Good to be here, though.

Do ya know what State you will be moving to? What are
the Ninja Turtles gonna do? What month will you be lea-
ving? Do you get to take the tree in the front yard wiff
ya! You are going to miss it if not!

Don't know when we'll be moving. A lot still to be figured out. The boys want to stay in Calgary, since they have friends here and it's easy for them to get work. I'm going to miss their beautiful faces and all the hugs we share. Dave's so good to talk to.

Thanks so much for your reply. I, as well as so many
others get concerned if'in we don't hear from you. Just
want to be sure you are "ok" and know how much we all
    think of you!

It would be great if you and Dad relocated to the States
for awhile! Maybe some better Medical opportunities
would be available here for you?

Pick a warmer place like North Dakota or Montana for
    example! Even Minnisoda!

    "Talk" to ya later, "K"?

    How are you?

It will be a warmer place. Florida or Texas or California. It's hard to get used to the idea, so I requested some picture books on these states from the library. There's some question as to whether my Dad can actually get into the country. I might have to sponsor him in or something. Dad's company has an immigration lawyer, so I guess everthingthing will work out.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was on TV tonight. Do you like that movie? It's one of my favorites. It was strange seeing it here, since until now I had only seen it at my grandma's house.

What are you up to? I've forgotten what your hobbies are! Sorry. I forget my own age even!

It sounds like you are pretty excited about the possible

move. I don't undersand why your Dad would have a pro-

plem getting into the Country to work? I'm sure there

are lots of Canadians here working as part of Canadian

Companies. What kind of work does your Father do?

Anyone of those States you would get the Sunshine and

warmth not available in Canadia. HOPE it's "Kaliphonia"

and close by to the Bay Area!

Ya know, I never saw the "Walter Mitty" movie. Was that

wiff Dustin Hoffman? Or am I thinking of "Death of a

Salesman"? Read the story years ago in H.S.

Do hope you are feeling OK and hope that some better med

options will be available for you here in AMERIKA!

    Huggles and stay in touch!

    ZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzzz... zzzzzZZZZZzzzzz...

Not so alert these days. Otherwise, pretty good. Baked some cookies. I think I don't like cookies very much! I've been baking lots of different kinds over the last several weeks as able, and working on making my own recipes too. I think I don't like the taste of the flour and how sweet they are. It's fun making the dough, but I don't like eating them when they're done. I've been giving them to my brothers instead. So I ordered some cookbooks on vegetarian soup tonight.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a Danny Kaye movie. :) 1940s, I think.

Dad's company does air decontamination for industrial and home use. Good for reducing air pollution from factories, or just taking odors out of a smelly house. It's a new Canadian technology.

What are you up to, Joey?

E'mmm Cookies! Unfortunately, even the Cookie Monster
has become the victim of "political correctness". But
they sure sound good to me!

Just been continuing my B'Day celebration "appearances"!
Should be close to winding down now and about to invent-
tory all the "goodies" generously given o me.

It seems to me that your Dad has a knowledge that would be
in demand here in the States. Believe the move may well be
v ery benefcial to you also in many ways. Hope you will
be settling here in "Kaliphonia" and the Bay Area espec-
ially! Do you have any idea as to when that decision will
be made? I'm savin' my favorite 26 y.o Son for you! So
you better make it close and soon, "K"?

Doc said today he thought I looked like "a Million Bucks".
All "green and wrinkled"! He's from Wisconsin and makes
me sit there on the exam table wearing that dumb "cheese-
head" hat and singing all the verses of "On Wisconsin" b-
4 he lets me leave the exam room! Oh Boy!!!

    Huggles Ms. Shannon!

Gee, I haven't been around here for awhile! I've been mostly in bed for the last eight days, and pretty weak when out of bed. I hope it doesn't go on this way.

Florida is looking less likely for the move. I think the investor who wanted us in FL is dropping out or something. Hope this is the case. California is my favorite! It would be San Diego.

    Are you 41 now?

I may not be here as much, since I'm sicker lately. I've been wanting to write back for some time now.

I asked the doc to test me for MS, since my legs are numb at times, and I have nearly all of the other symptoms to some degree at times. It will be several months before I can get an MRI. I was researching it more lately. Not a good prognosis for MS. Also, lyme disease makes identical lesions to the ones that MS makes (I have lyme disease) so how will we really know if it's MS, or if it's the lyme doing it? Lyme can be treated and the lesions can go away(mostly when caught early on, not life-long cases like me, sigh!), but MS is not curable. MS just gets worse the older a person gets. How would I know?

So, trying not to worry, and trying to put up with feeling worse and being in bed.

What else do you like to do besides sing "O Wisconsin"? :) I think I'd rather look like a shiny new penny than a million bucks - bright and tanned.

Take care, Daddy. Hope I will write back soon.

I just saw your "reply Post" on Page two! So sorry.
Havin' problems wiff my Server I believe as I've been
unable to get on line and lose connections for the Past few

As you know my 29 y.o. Daughter also has Lyme and believe
it can be pretty much determined accurately through the
Igenex Lyme Test. "Google" it for info. I will be gett-
ing the test myself soon as it is a possiblity with me
also. "Igenex" is the Lab that does the test. They are
considered by most to be the "best".

Shannon, I understand that San Diego is a lovely place to
live! It would be great for you as it is Sunny and warm
almost all year round! You can sit around your varanda
drinking those "mint tulips" and waving to the young men
driving by in their convertibles! Don't see many of them
in Canadia I bet! May get access to better med help here
also. You should be able to qualify for Amer. Soc. Sec.
    Disability benefits once here.

Please keep in touch as you can. We all think about you
daily and miss ya when not "around"!

    Hi Joe-Joe.

Out of bed more now. Crocheting a brown scarf with some sock yarn I found. I still like crocheting.

What's your daughter's name? How is she? Where does she live? What does she do for a living?

You wrote "Canadia" instead of Canada. :) Reminds me of grade 10 social studies. I was the 1910 immigration officer. I denied one guy entry to Canada because he was goofing off and called my country "Canadia." Laws were really strict back then, and I could deny anyone pretty much as I pleased. The class said I was the meanest immigration officer of the three - the other two were playing officers from more modern times.

Nice to hear from you. No updates on the move today, but the boss favors Texas. Texas would be good too. What are you up to, daddy?

I'm happy that you are feeling better. I too have been a
bit under the weather but it is just stuff that "normal"
    Peeps get all the time.

The "Canadia" thing is just a cute little fond word I use
for Canada. Similar to using "Am-er-icka" for America.
Was in Canada one time. It was at Edmondton on my way
back from Ireland years and years ago. We were on a Air-
liner znd sat on the Tarmac while they refueled the Plane.
The Canadian authorities were smart enough NOT to let us
off the Plane as we were all "Kaliphonians"!

My Daughter has lived in Oregon for a few years now and
is in Grad School studing Social Welfare and wants to be
a Family Counselor. She works part time as a Nanny! She
is coming into Town with her Mother tomorrow but can
only stay until Tuesday! My Son and his Friend are doing
a performance Monday nite here in S.F. and we will all be
there for it. He's the real handsome 27 y.o. I'm saving
for you! So be nice to me. OK?

It doesn't sound as if the move to the States will be any
time soon for you and Dad. A bit unsettled? These things
have a way of taking alot longer to come about than we
think it seems. Still hoping it will be California.

Let's try to keep in touch with our "very own" thread here
if we can. Seems to be holding up well so far!
Stay warm. Maybe that tree in the front yard will be bloom
ing soon! Keep the Ninja Turtle Bros. in line.

    Lots of Huggles,

Sorry for the delay, haven't been too well. Still chugging along.

You say your son (whose name I still don't know!) gave a performance?? What does he do?? How was it??

How did your daughter's visit go? Did you get her to clean your house? ;) Hope you all had a good time. Glad she's so close to CA. What part of Oregon is she in? I do love Oregon.

My friends are helping me to get used to the move. As long as it isn't Florida, I think I'll be pleased. I like the delay! I still get to look out the back window at my tree, and shuffle along on my brown shag carpet... I hope I'll be more able to see the new city. I didn't get to do much here in Calgary. At the very least, I think that I'll be housebound in a nicer house. Less stairs.

I think I asked you before, but what sort of work do you do? What's your dream job?

Hope I can write soon, sending thoughtful thoughs in the meantime. :)
P.S. Your son deserves someone who can do the dishes and speak in whole sentences! Not me!
