Today I am doing what I was created to do.

I really like candles. I can spend a great deal of time selecting just the right ones. Long and taper, short and stout, fragrant and beautiful. As much as I enjoy candles, they are never quite as beautiful as when they are lit. That is when they are most fragrant and most amazing. Their warm glow makes even the gloomiest of days seem bright. Candles are best when they are doing what they were made to do - glow.

Isn't that true for you too? You are at your best when you are doing what you were meant to do, what you were created for. Perhaps you are not exactly sure what that is. Maybe you are like a candle that has never been lit. Sure you look good just sitting there, but you could be so much more if you could just do what you were created to do. Are you ready to be used by God but not yet quite sure what it is you are suppose to do? Well then today is the day you can ask Him and find out. Once you do, you can start glowing for all to see.

You may have been sitting idly by wondering what you were suppose to be doing. Now you know to seek the Lord for divine direction so you can do what you were created to do. - Gail Lindsay

God's love and mercy are so great that even when we do the vilest things and make the gravest mistakes, He is there to lift us up.

When we try to run away from God, He is still with us because He loves us in spite of ourselves.

When we try to do things on our own and leave Christ out of our lives, He still tries to help us because He loves us so much.

We fail Christ when we live the way we want to live instead of the way Christ wants us to live. Yet, even when we fail Him, He will never fail us.

Even when we do not deserve to be near Him, Christ wraps His arms around us. When we have fallen and are broken, Christ comes and lifts us up and invites us to break bread with Him. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
