Tragic news and ASKING FOR PRAYERS...and lots of them 01/29/04 03:39 PM

    Hello everyone!
A friend of mine is in desperate need of prayers. Her hubby was just diagnosed with Lukemia and is about to ungo some severe chemo. Hes only about 40 yrs old. His daughter is good friends with and in same grade as my daughter and step-daughter. They were at my wedding last year. They only live two streets away. Hes at Cornell University Hospital in NY City at this time. His wife is torn between the kids and being with him because its over an hour away (we all live in New Jersey).
I need to ask all of you for prayers to help the family. I called her to let her know Im here to take the tow kids when she needs me. Although I have four of my own adnam completely overwhelmed, I know that if she needs me God will provided me with the energy that I need to also take care of them. I know Ive been really ill lately and have taken a turn for the worst but I need to be there for my friend.
I cant begin to tell you all how hard this has hit home. Please say a prayer for the family and the children as they need them desperatey.( the kids are age 10 and age 6 and go to schoolwith my kids). Hes a wonderful guy and doesnt deserve what he has been handed.
Thank you so much for your time. Its much appreciated.

I,too,am sorry for your friends situation.
You will be blessed for being there for them.
What is his first name? I will remember you all in my prayers.
I hope you can be of help, yet not let it bear too heavily on yourself. Sometimes being able to do SOMETHING lifts the burden on the person doing it. It may even help you to feel better in that you won't be dwelling on your problems.(I don't mean that you overdo that, but when we are so miserable ourselves, it helps to transcend that with concerns about someone else or thing).
I certainly hope you were able to get some extra rest over the weekend. Thank you for being able to show your concern for your friends.

    Your friend,

I pray that the Lord will be merciful and heal your friend with leukemia, and give his wife the strength and courage to face this time of trial with knowing the Lord is at her side. I also pray that He will give you the strength to be a help to her, I do believe He will, and that He also will impart to you a great improvement in your health. Sometimes, when we are going through things, we seem so weak, then look back and can see how the Lord brought us through the seemingly impossible, all to His glory. God Bless and keep you all, In the Name of our Savour, Jesus, Amen blessings

This is not my prayer request, its for 'Another-Painful-Day.

I just moved it from the CFS/FM board so you wonderful prayer Warrior's could add your prayers for this tragic request.

God bless ladies and gentlemen, you are surely the best.

    Shalom, Shirl
