When you asked this question 2 yrs ago, this medication in patch form was new. It's an MAO inhibitor. By now you know more about it than I do. Did you take it? How did it work out? I'm going to experimment with it shortly. Thx

In an attempt to calm my sensory overload Dr. Natelson prescribed the Emsam patch. I had to spend weeks without other drugs as I took several that conflicted with the patch. (Both going on to Emsam & coming off Emsam. Bleah!)

Emsam did nothing good for the overload, just made me feel like I was out of my body & gave me severe rashes. My dermatologist thinks I was allergic to the gel on the patch.

I felt like a giraffe while on the patch, can't recommend it as it wasn't a medication for me. Hope you find some other answers.
