For those who have taken Tricyclic AD's for depression, did you find them helpful? I've taken Anafranil and took Doxepin (aka Sinequan) about 2 years ago. They worked some but the side effects were pretty bad.

Anyone tried any of these or others such as Tofranil? I'd like to get some feedback--good or bad.

The problem with Tricyclics is that you have to take a rather high dose to treat depression. Most peolpe with FM take a low dose for pain and sleep.

I believe Pamelor is not as sedative as some. Hope you get some more opinions.
