i've been reading on this forum about trigger point therapy and am going to be getting the workbook by claire davies.

i'm wondering if anyone here has had success with this therapy relieving chronic headaches.

logically i see the benefit of this massage, but i went weekly for 3 weeks but stopped due to cost - i'm sure that if i had continued would have seen benefit.

so if i can learn to do it myself what a bonus - i'm feeling quite hopeful

I started physical therapy 6 months ago. I've gone from 6 migraines a month to one. I also had the daily headaches sallys mentioned. They've decreased significantly as well. I know the trigger point therapy (specifically spray and stretch) has been a big factor in the improvement. You mentioned cost, do you have insurance? If so you may find a physical therapist that is convered under you insurance that is trained in myofascial trigger point therapy. Good luck, to you.
