I saw this on a game show today. I thought we'd give it a try!

You take 3 words that rhyme and just give the definitions. Then, we try to identify the words.

    Example:

    Another word for seashore -
    To instruct -
    A fuzzy fruit -

The answers are Beach, Teach, and Peach.

OK, GB, I'll give it a try.

A spiny shrub. An animal that runs. Where the animal might run.

Gender of a child. What you might give the child. The child's reaction.

    A song. A container. Danger.

    A salesperson. A seamstress. A banker.

GB, is Triple Play the name of the show? Are there any rules?
Do the answers have to be nouns? Can we use names? Will we
win big prizes like a trip to Austin, Minnesota where we can
    visit the Spam museum?

Rock, Actually, this was a category on yesterday's Jeopardy!! The last word game I posted was too. Not sure if this was the name of it though.

They probably are more fun to play when you only have a few seconds to think about them and have to ring in, but I don't think that's possible on the board. (I'll take triple play for $200).

No trips involved, sorry, but you could possibly visit the nearest Wal-Mart and pretend you have a gift certificate. Just be sure you have your credit card handy. :)

They can be any words you like as long as they rhyme. GB

Boy, toy, joy is correct. Seller and teller are correct too, I suppose,
but not the answers to this puzzle.

OK, here are a few more.

    4 Something most everybody wants.
5 Something else most everybody wants.
    6 A type of bomber.

7 It's outlawed in public places.

GB, I saw that first part of Jeopardy last night!! LOL

I'll take a guess at these:

    ROCK SAID:
7 It's outlawed in public places.
    8 It may provoke laughter.
    9 It's soothing.

    I SAY: SMOKE, JOKE, SOAK

Great game, GB. Gets the brain working, even if we (I) come up with the incorrect answers! LOL

    Diane :)

Just wondering -- (and a recap, of sorts)

    Did anybody guess:

**A spiny shrub. An animal that runs. Where the animal might run.
    ** A song. A container. Danger.

    10. Some folks use it in cooking.
    11. It has a fringe on top.
    12. A collective noun for folks in a box.

    And now Rock's new entries:
    13 An award
    14 An equine
    15 An imposter

    I'm pondering......................

    Diane

PS: Rock, Thanks for the KUDUS! :)
