On June 11th, I had eye muscle surgery on both of my eyes. I have FMS. During surgery, I had a muscle spasm in the muscles that they were working on. It resulted in a small scratch on my retina. Also, the day after surgery, I had another muscle spasm in the other eye that made it incredibly painful to even attempt to open that one eye. My doctor says that I am having a harder time bouncing back, and she can't explain the spasms. Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them???

I was also supposed to have feet surgery tomorrow, but had to reschedule due to being very anemic. Now, I am nervous about it. :-(

I had surgery in September and it took me "forever" to recoop from it. I know how you feel and don't know why except for the fact that our pain pathways are so hypersensative that they just seem to over-react in these situations.
Hope you get back to feeling better soon.
    Take care,
