Has anyone else had trouble swallowing pills and/or food with this disease? Lately, it seems like pills get hung in the back of my throat and no matter how much liquid I drink, they won't go down. I have even tried eating something to force them down and I still feel as though they are stuck back there.

I have noticed that. Don't know if it's related to Fibro or not. But with my pills sometimes they sit in my mouth while I try several times to get them down. I've never had problems taking pills.

Yes! I get that when my SCM (sternocleidomastoid) triggers flare up and that muscle spazzes. My throat is affected by them, and I have trouble swallowing liquids or solids. I take an anti-spasmodic med, but it can still overwhelm the med. I have to rest my head against something (like a recliner) and use an electric heating pad or stick-on heat pads. After awhile the spasm lets go and I can begin to swallow.
