... Does this taste funny to you?

I would expect the reply, "No, more like chicken."

Julia Child said in her book about living in France, that chickens used to
have more flavor. I think that's true of just about everything. Especially

    Bon appetit

Do ya suppose clowns used to have more flavor?

Hmm.... Maybe they should'a had organic, free-range clowns, & they wouldn't have tasted funny.....

a new concept. Free range clowns. Guess they couldn't run too far w/ those
    goofy shoes.

I see some guy on the net has come up with the idea of a free range ant
farm. I think that's what we pretty much have already, right?

How about this? Why did the clown cross the road?
It was too far to go around.

Pippi ... free range clowns??? LOL

and Rock ...... You're just "nuts"!!!

    No more ant farms. hmmm.
Just sunny California free range ANT RANCHES. Sounds like a really Green concept.
(without steroids or anti-biotics I hope)

They said, "Ah, divinity with nuts."

When Value Jet crashed into the Everglades down here, Alligators preyed on the bodies. The joke going around was: One alligator turned to another and said, "This airline food isn't so bad!" (Sick :)

I have an unnatural fear and loathing of clowns. Am finding out it isn't all that unusual.

I HATE clowns! I have ever since I can remember.
I always hated the fake, painted on smile. I could see that their real mouths weren't smiling. It was that big, phony "happy" that I found disturbing. & I was only 3 or 4 when I figured that out.
Most peeps just say they're "creepy" & can't really elaborate...

They do have a valid point, of course, about the general creepiness...

"airlines food isn't so bad"??? lol

I hate clowns too. They're just like mimes. ewww!

They used to scare me. Now they're just creeeepy!

and then there was Mr. happy go lucky John Gacy who used to dress up as a clown for the kids.
(lived near me. - Sex Predator that buried 29 young men in his crawlspace and under driveway - after he did .."unmentionable things" to them).
One teenage victim lived in my town.
TV News kept showing pictures of him as a clown.

I heard about that guy. He considered himself an "artist" & was fixated with painting clowns. too!

    Double ICK!!!

You sound like my kids :) They think my aversion to clowns is funny because normally, I'm fearless. Soooo, they never miss an opportunity to point them out to me. After years of this, it has actually acted a bit like aversion therapy--being exposed to whatever scares one, a little at a time. I no longer recoil in fear and disgust at clowns but seeing them makes me uncomfortable. Knowing that perverts dress up as clowns just reinforces my belief that we have something to fear from them, though.

I find mimes disgusting too but don't fear them. They actually believe they are artists. OK, trying to be nonjudgemental here but it ain't easy :)

We're supposed to be discerning (confused with "judgemental" in common vernacular).

Being "open minded" doesn't mean we're supposed tohave a hole-in-the-head!!! LOL!

Wow! Discerning sounds sooooo much better :)

This looks like a good site for we like minded clown haters. My father used to make my sister and I say "dislike" instead of "hate", though a word by any other name, means the same.BR>

Warning, I just glanced at this site, so hope everything is appropriate. Free range appropriate.

I am proud to be on this site, among friends who set their appropriateness tolerance so high.

If you can't tolerate our level of appropriateness, then you do not have a sense of humor or are a clown.

I don't think I am really making sense. Too many clown visualizations running through my head.

What's this about giving away free stoves?

    Have fun!!

ETA I have very few aversions. Not even spiders and snakes!! Spit, horses and clowns. You don't want to know. Freud would have a field day with us!

I had completely forgotten that I went to High School with someone who was going to go to clown school.

It's amazing how these posts can bring back memories I had forgotten about or misplaced.

He was perfectly normal. I should see if I can find him on facebook, once I remember his name.

I wonder if you have to pass creepiness 101 to graduate. Can you get a Masters Degree?

Wow, a whole can of memory worms or possibly fake snakes, whatever they are called, has been opened here.

That's OK! Freud had SERIOUS "issues"!

I informed my psych 101 prof of this, & he nearly collapsed in hysterics...

Sounds like something were supposed to do to be Politically Correct.

I think we've (you) created a new term for a mandated "sensitivity course" for employees.

Saw the hateclowns web site. Weird.

I really don't mind clowns. I just don't want them in my face -or talking to me.

Didn't want them near my kids either.

    This taste funny to you?

I was being facetious, LOL!! My post must have been clear as mud. Sorry.

    I found your joke hilarious.

But maybe we should all be more respectful of clowns?

Nah, they choose to be clowns!!

Pipi, I think Freud had an Oedipus complex!!

Do you know what one psychiatrist said to another? "Hmmm, tell me about your mother".
