Why do you prefer oxycontin to tylenol 3 for pain relief?

I am retrying tylenol 3 at a low dose and will slowly work up, but am afraid of allergic reactn again. But, I am desperate for pain relief and my anti-inflamm plus 2 tylenols every 4 hours plus supplements is not enough.

I hear good things about oxycontin, but I am wondering why more of you don't take tylenol 3 instead.

Anyone have an allergic reaction to Tylenol 3?

Anyone have an allergic reaction to Tylenol 3, but were okay with oxycontin?

That is why many stay away from it.

I believe oxcycontin has synthetic morphine in it and is by nature timed released if prescriped under the name oxycoctin. Morphine is not synthethic but often used in smaller amounts and as breakthru medicine or for shorter periods of time for acute (I think).
