I am 5 months pregnant now, my first set of blood work came back with warm & cold auto antibodies and the doctors didn't quite know what to do so they sent me to a Hematologist. I saw him monthly for routine labs and such. My doctor and myself thought that this was all taken care of and no longer a worry of ours, but last week i went to the doctors and they decided to take things further because i am pregnant. My Hematologist has never had to deal with blood diseases & pregnant woman, so i have been referred to a Specialist. I have Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. Which could be caused by a few things, such as Lupus. I have came back + for at least 1 marker for Lupus. They are looking into it a lot more because my mother lost her battle with Lupus after 12 years. I am 21 years old, so when she had it, it was 20 years ago, and it took doctors an entire year to even diagnose her. I feel great, i look the same. but I am very worried. I am also worried about my unborn child, who is also a female. If anyone has any kind of assuring calming advice it would be greatly appreciated. My husband & I are petrified of what could come of this. This was 1 of his biggest fears.

Jump onto the Lupus message board here and I think you will get more help and suggestions there as they all have Lupus on there. Good luck.
