Another strange symptom that I seem to be having since I've been ill with CFS is pain in my veins.

Sometimes I have a painful vein that you can actually feel throbbing. They happen in different parts of my body, but especially the head.

The other strange vein pain I have is after blood testing. I get a traveling pain through my vein from the injection point, up through my arm, through the back of my shoulder and up into my head. It seems to be getting worse each time I have blood taken. This also happened when I had to have fluids in the hospital through an IV. Very strange and a little scary because I don't know why it is occurring. My doctor said it may be my overactive immune system not liking the intrusion . . . I think it is usually worse when the blood test stings like the alcohol gets in the vein or something. Seems like a minute amount that could get in, but its not beyond the realm of possibility I guess . . .

Anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks! Terri
