thank God Bless You
I love Christian songs but now I don't have any collection of it.
Here's an old favorite. Written by Septimus Winner shortly after the Civil War. His
other famous songs were Listen to the Mockingbird and Ten Little Indians.
Jo Stafford and Gordon MacRae recorded an album of hymns which I used to have. Met
Jo and her husband Paul Weston in Hollywood back in the 80s.
"Tell Your Heart To Beat Again" by Danny Gokey
"Hope In Front Of Me" by Danny Gokey
"Rise" by Danny Gokey
"O Come To The Alter" (Live) by Elevation Worship
"Broken Things" by Matthew West
Here is a hymn we used to sing in the High School Chorus. The singers in this video are
the Boy's Choir at Canterbury Cathedral. "Brother James" was the composer. A preacher
named James MacBeth Bain. As the "MacBeth" suggests, he was Scottish.
I haven't heard this old hymn for ages. I used to have three versions when I had my
record collection. The singers were Johnny Cash, Burl Ives, and a choir. Can't remember
which one. I've always seen the title as Poor Wayfaring Stranger, but there are always
variations in these old songs.
Nice one. I liked it
