Does anyone know which form of vitamin C is the best and most bioavailable form? I'm looking for a good powdered C supp. to mix with my colostrum and other vitamins twice a day, but want to have the good stuff?

Ascorbic acid is widely available and easily absorbed.

The best one I've found is EmergenC. Unfortunately, at the amount I'm taking, that would be about $8 a day. This would be for a whole box (30 g). Not as expensive as Vitamin C IV's, but not nearly as effective either.

After I upped my dose, I switched to plain ascorbic acid capsules from Pure Encapsulations. My doctor recommended buffered.

I'm not absolutely convinced the brand matters as much with Vit C as with most supplements. I can get the Pure Encapsulations brand for half price; otherwise I probably would shop around.

Ester-C is the form that several doctor recommended to me. I've been using a form with added bioflavanoids. I'm rusty on the details, but Ester-C is supposed to be super absorbable and easy on the stomach.
