SOMEONE SUGGESTED ON ONE OF THE POSTS TO SAVE MONEY TO GET THE DOC TO ORDER DOUBLE THE DOSE I.E. 100MG. INSTEAD OF 50MG. AND CUT IN HALF. BE VERY CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE IT IS A PILL THAT CAN BE SPLIT. SOME ARE TIME RELEASED AND YOU CAN REALLY GET YOURSELF INTO TROUBLE ESPECIALLY LONG ACTING NARCOTICS.

I saved money on a prescription that the doctor initially gave 25 mg and then bumped me up to 2 25 mg tabs. I keep my pharmacist on her toes as I ask each time I have a med change if there is a cheaper way to dispense. I saved about half the price on one med.

My pharmacist said if the pill is scored down the middle you can safely cut them in half. If there is no score mark they should never be cut.
