Weaned myself off of one of my meds - seem to be doing ok

I decided I wanted to try lowering/reducing some of my med intake, so I picked the easiest one to start with, my Buspar.

I started by halfing the dose for a few days, then stopped it. I wasn't on high dose anyway.

Anyway, so far, so good. I seem to be doing okay, and it feels good to know there's one less chemical I am putting in my body. The other two meds I'm on are very necessary - may be able to lower the dose some, but I don't think I'll be able to quit them completely any time soon.

I did as my doc suggested - only change ONE thing at a time, that way if you have side effects, you know what to attribute them to.

    peach :)

You are doing it the smart way! Can I ask why you are trying to get off Buspar and whatever else you are on?

Buspar was one of the first ones I dumped also. Didn't seem to be doing me any good, so I slowly cut down the dose until I was off it.

It does feel good to get rid of something that isn't helping. Good for you!
