    Here's one I like:
"Hitting the wall." Makes me feel like an athelete. ;)

So I sometimes say " I'm using my last ember of energy".

Relieves the monotony, and I like to play with words.

    "I'm going to regroup"
to mean you're going to take a nap? --It sounds less lazy. I think?

I was looking up euphemisms for 'tired' for fun and came up with someone else's story, thought it was cute:

When one of my friends is tired and ready to go home after a night out, she tells us, "Barbie is dead". Back when she was a kid, it's what she used to tell her friend when she was tired of playing and wanted to go home...

Ran outta gas. When my friend Joe plays bridge, he always says, "Ran outta soap". Doesn't make too much sense, but he's been saying it for decades.

Whoops! The energizer bunny needs a rest after all.

    Too pooped to pop.

Oh, My Dear. I've got to lie down for a while or I won't be ready for my next closeup.

I think I hear my mother calling.

Shannon, I always use your expression and my husband immediately knows to get me home. Whenever I say "I hit the wall" I always picture the cartoons when the Road Runner or some other character is running and SLAM runs into a wall and he is flattened and then "melts" down the wall into a puddle. That's me!

One my husband used to say , "The sandman beat the hell out of me".

I say that to my nieces when I'm ready for a nap. It's something that they seem to really understand.

They get the concept of full battery or if half a battery is left... then dead battery.

It's like the spoon theory... once I'm out, that's it.

Victoria, my brother thought "Barbie is dead" is funny. So did I. :)

In my days of getting out rarely, sometimes I'd find myself totally drained what seemed like all at once. By then, I'd be too tired to tell Dad that I needed to go home. So I made my fingers "walk" on him. That was the signal for "get me out of here NOW!!!!!"
