What exactly are FM tenderpoints?

    Are they nerve endings? Where tendons join together? The center point of a muscle? The beginning of a ligament?

    I'm wondering because when Rheumotologist pressed those exact tenderpoints it was SO painful, but he says the pain is due to nerve damage not fibro. I'm very confused about this.... wondering if it's FM I have or just nerve damage like he says or both!
