    I don't want drugs, I want relief from pain with stretching or lite exercise

    Do pain clinics do this?

    I went to a pain clinic in MO last month. I was asked a whole series of questions, my medaical records were evaluated. I wa given a general checkup (blood pressure, list of meds I was on, what did and did not work for me}

    I have had FM for nearly 25 years. It was recommended that I use a 10 unit, do moderate exercise, walk, bicycle or swim) I was also give a drug.

    I was asked what I expected. I told them that all I wanted or expected was to remain able to work with as little pain as possible. I am nearly 55.

    The Dr said that my expectations were well within his limits to help me.

    Started on lyrica. Went from walking once up and down my driveway to walking 2 blocks. I can now bicyccle 1 mile on flat ground.

    Very tired when done. But I have walked and felt my hips move when I walk for the first time in over 20 years.

    No, I am not cured, I still have stiffness, brain fog, and pain (but not as bad)

    I am glad I went.

    Good luck if and when you go.
