Hey all! Long time - no chat! I need your opinions....I know everyone is going tell me to go to the ER or doc....but, besides that ...what do you think happened? On Saturday night - my son's second b-day party I was talking to someone and all of a sudden my wrist was hurting - severly! I looked down and it was swollen and bruised looking and the pain runs along the side all the way up to my pinky finger tip. I do not remember doing anything to it. The pain is acute and feels like the bone is strained. How is this possible? I did not injure it to my knowledge. This is not the wrist I broke a few months back. I am curused....any thoughts?

do you have a rhematoid arthritic specialist? you definitely need a specialist to see and make diagnosis - soon. Good luck!

    hi soldier--

i've never had it happen on a wrist, but often on a hand or finger--where a little "bump" in the wrong spot can break a blood vessel, hurts like heck for awhile, and leaves bruising and tenderness. You can try ice to it, but if you can't move your wrist, or it gets any worse, or you seem to have circulation problems in the hand--you know what you need to do!

I hope that is all it is, keep an eye on it.
    good luck--L
