    Someone will certainly know what this is so please keep schtum for a wee while to see if anyone else finds out.

    I have no idea what that is.....some kind of a train bridge? But if it is, it needs to be finished!

    some sort of conveyor belt thing, but then drops off. Then it looks like cars, busses driving under, so thought maybe an automated toll booth, but why would it extend into the hillside? And we have Easy Pass for automated toll booths, so can't be that.

    Looks a lot like one of those unfinished freeway ramps in Seattle!

    Ok, it doesn't really but that's what it reminds me of.

    Lookes like some sort of observation platform but I don't know what we would be observing.

    It;s some sort of overhead power supply. Underneath is some sort of transportation system, maybe trains, or monorail system.

    It's the world famous boat lift at Falkirk.

    Hi rock,yeh the Church of Scotland is known informally as The Kirk,you ken more Scottish words than me,LOL

    Even after Rock gave us the answer, I didn't realize it was really the answer, sigh. Was still looking. Then I found it and realized, duh, ROCK already told us. Good one Rosie !

    your knowledge of our Scots tongue is excellent too. I know you've travelled in Europe, did you spend time here?

    I live in Falkirk, Ken, right between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

    I've visited the Wheel only twice and never gone on it.
