I may be referred to a pain specialist and wonder who has seen one or is under the care of one.
    >What should I expect?
    >Do they only use drugs for pain management?

Can anyone help me with this?

    thanks,

are as different as regular doctors. Some only do drugs, some go the physical therapy route as well. I've seen one and he was very carefree about rxing Duragesic and any other pain drug he thought might help. He also has MUCH more insight into the needs of a chronic pain sufferer than a GP. You will be better off seeing this guy than your regular doc. good luck, N

    Thanks Mikie,

I just woke up to get your "short & sweet" reply.
I sure hope the specialist will take it all away......ahhh!

    granmama hugs to you,
