What works for me....

    I have had FM for 20 or more years. We never know when it actually starts.

    I say NO when necessary
    Take naps
    Stretch

    I was actually bed ridden. Couldn't get out of bed. Now I actually set my alarm at 5am to take my pain meds(tramadol) and go back to sleep. At 7:30am I am pain free and ready to get out of bed. I get up everyday and shower and always get dressed so I don't get into my illness. It is always there but doesn't control my life.

    I always go to bed at 10pm.

    Take time for myself. And keep stress out of my life. Not always easy, but I have a very supportive partner who makes life easier.

    I hope the hint about taking your meds early in AM and then getting up helps someone like it did for me.

    Keep a positive attitude all my fellow FM friends.

    what i do and same med too! I have to do that in order to get up to bring my kids to school. I am glad it works for you too.(atleast our mornings can start off "OK")
