About to start taking guaynefesin and need to know if anyone
has any input. Have suffered for several years with FM and
MFPS without any meds, began zoloft in October for severe
anxiety attacks. Pain is more than I can bear. Dr. is
not well versed w/ these diseases and I have no insurance
to cover any real specialists. Here in southern Michigan
we don't really have big choices for those of us w/out
insurance. So... I'm just now trying to really see what
I can do to help myself and very grateful for finding all
of you!Looking forward to any responses,

First, welcome to our board. I have been on the Guaifenesin treatment for almost two years with excellent results.

You didn't say whether you had read the book by Dr. St. Amand. It is critical to the success of the treatment to read the book, understand the theory, eliminate all sals from your regimen, and understand about trial and error in finding the correct dose.

The Guai treatment is a long-term treatment which can produce painful Guai flares, especially in the beginning until the correct dose is arrived at.

Use the search feature here to bring up past posts about it. Good luck to you.

    Love, Mikie
