When do you go to the hospital?

I was just wondering if any of you just get up and go to the hospital. There are some nights that my pain is so bad. Should I just go in? Should I stay home and suffer? What could they really do for me?

Have you a doctor? If so, I would make an appointment for a consultation for starters.

I went to the hospital the first time from sheer exhaustion from vomiting and diarrhea. I was so out of it that my gentlemen friend practically carried me in! It was 10:00 in the morning; that is when I learned I was having a migraine. A severe classical migraine. I hurt so all over I did not know my head even hurt!

The second time I decided I needed to go was when I had chest pains. Everyone in my family was ha-ha-ing my chest pain so I hopped in my truck and off I went. Turned out to be collagen/arthritis in the sternum.

I would definately go somewhere if I were you. Best of luck, Cactus'

If you have that kind of breakthrough pain, you need some medication you can take. There is no reason to have to suffer to the point that you are considering going to the ER. A pain specialist should be able to help you with this.
